Alignment and synchronization

Log variables to be transferred during alignment to RemotePRO are set in PlantVisorPRO Locale. See chapter Log data alignment.

Data to be synchronized with each connection with PlantVisorPRO Locale must be set in RemotePRO:

• configuration data (site, line, device,  logical configuration) 

• active and cleared alarms

• events

• info

Devices

Based on the version, PlantVisorPRO Locale can manage a variable number of devices connected to two or more serial ports. Each serial line can support up to 207 devices.

Serial ports

PlantVisorPRO Locale uses two RS485 serial lines. If additional COM lines are needed for supervision, use the CAREL USB – RS485 converter code CDSTDUMOR0.

If there are still not enough USB ports, PlantVisorPRO Locale can be connected to the DIGI 7-port USB hub, model 301 2010 27 (Hubport/7c - 7-port switched USB 2.0 hub).

USB hub must be used only to connect the USB kit (code CDSTDUMOR0) and not to connect any other type of USB peripheral.

FTP

The c:\ftp folder is shared for data transfer to/from PlantVisorPRO Locale for servicing.

Use Internet Explorer version 7 or better.

Phone line

An analog modem is already installed in PlantVisorPRO.

LAN

To connect to RemotePRO via Internet and remote connections in general.

485 CAREL

For connections to field devices via 485 Pc-Gate or 485 USB converter.

Modbus

To communicate with field devices that use this protocol.

To communicate with devices in Edrofan field.

To connect devices, the CAREL USB-CANbs converter must be used and their drivers installed on the PC.
