System architecture

The PlantVisorPRO suite includes four programs:

PlantVisorPRO Locale
RemotePRO
Device Creator
Layout Editor

PlantVisorPRO Locale acquires information from a system, saves it in a database and displays it in web pages. Sending alarm and malfunction notices using various channels (phone, internet, etc.).

RemotePRO accesses one or more PlantVisorPRO Locale programs, directly displaying the pages. Sending alarm and malfunction notices using various channels (phone, internet, etc.).

Device Creator is a development interface to create custom device templates.

Layout Editor is the tool used to create synoptic pages.

PlantVisorPRO architecture

PlantVisorPRO Locale and Remoto share similar architecture. The main difference is that the field that represents site devices in Locale, represents local supervisor connection in Remoto. PlantVisorPRO Locale architecture is illustrated in the diagram:

Elements	Function
web server	Generates PlantVisorPRO interface web pages to let users directly connect via Internet.
dispatcher	Manages all PlantVisorPRO Locale activities (see output) and generates alarms.
controller	Supervises product operations. Interfaces with guardianPRO to signal faults and system blocks.
field connector	Gathers information on all field devices using installed protocols (CAREL protocol, Modbus RTU).
services	Database access services.
database	Contains all field data (acquired, setup and alarm).
output	Specific outputs: fax, text messages, relay start/stop, printouts and e-mail.
field	Devices connected in 485 network or Ethernet via field connector protocols.
