Completing PlantVisorPRO installation
Connect the computer
Follow the enclosed instruction sheet to connect the computer and first installation
When turned on, the PlantVisorPRO Shell panel appears with functions reserved for installers (see chapter PlantVisorPRO Shell)
Change the system password for Installers and Maintenance
In PlantVisorPRO Shell, User administration enter new passwords to prevent improper computer use (see chapter System user administration).
Read the user license
Activate the product
Follow the instructions on page System:information.
Setting up peripherals
In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, Modem settings set the internal and additional modems (see Computer management)
In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, Printer and fax settings , install printers and faxes (see Computer management)
Define connection modes for each peripheral
In I/O configuration, Fax set the call mode and phone number to run the subsequent test (see chapter Notification channel setup: fax).
In I/O configuration, SMS (text message) set the call mode and phone number to run the subsequent test (see chapter Notification channel setup: SMS).
In I/O configuration, e-mail set the delivery mode and e-mail address to run the subsequent test (see chapter Notification channel setup: e-mail).
Refresh peripherals
In System pages, System refresh peripherals (see chapter System status).
Test peripherals
In I/O test page, test each communication channel (see chapter Notification channel tests)
Connecting PlantVisorPRO to Remoto via modem
Set up the modem
In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, Modem settings install the modems (see Computer management)
Reboot the computer
In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, System reboot.
Identify the system
In Site configuration, Site identify the site for RemotePRO connections (see chapter System pages: information)
Define connection modes
In I/O configuration, RAS set the connection mode and RemotePRO phone number to run the subsequent test (see chapter Notification channel setup: Remote call).
Test the connection
In I/O test page, test the connection with RemotePRO.
Connecting PlantVisorPRO to Remoto via Web
Connect the computer to the network
In PlantVisorPRO Shell,Computer management, IP address settings, correctly set fields
Obtain a static IP
Ask the network administrator for the static IP to be assigned to PlantVisorPRO Locale.
Reboot the computer
In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, click Reboot system.
Identify the system
In Site configuration, Site identify the site for RemotePRO connections (see chapter System pages: information)
(optional) Enable FTP access for assistance
In System pages, System start the FTP server (see chapter System status).
Check the connection
From RemotePRO, add new site data and make sure the connection is made.
