How to complete PlantVisorPRO installation

The computer network administrator must have all the technical requirements needed to install the system.

PlantVisorPRO Locale must be a system dedicated to supervision. Carefully read points 6. Warranties and your rights and 8. User license liabilities (in System administration, User license).

System password protected operations

  1. Complete PlantVisorPRO installation

  2. Connect PlantVisorPRO to RemotePRO via modem

  3. Connect PlantVisorPRO to RemotePRO via Web


Completing PlantVisorPRO installation

  1. Connect the computer

    • Follow the enclosed instruction sheet to connect the computer and first installation

    • When turned on, the PlantVisorPRO Shell panel appears with functions reserved for installers (see chapter PlantVisorPRO Shell)

  2. Change the system password for Installers and Maintenance

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, User administration enter new passwords to prevent improper computer use (see chapter System user administration).

  3. Read the user license

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, User licenseread the document (see chapter System user administration).

  4. Activate the product

  5. Setting up peripherals

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, Modem settings set the internal and additional modems (see Computer management)

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, Printer and fax settings , install printers and faxes (see Computer management)

  6. Define connection modes for each peripheral

  7. Refresh peripherals

    • In System pages, System refresh peripherals (see chapter System status).

  8. Test peripherals

Connecting PlantVisorPRO to Remoto via modem

  1. Set up the modem

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, Modem settings install the modems (see Computer management)

  2. Reboot the computer

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, System reboot.

  3. Identify the system

  4. Define connection modes

  5. Test the connection

    • In I/O test page, test the connection with RemotePRO.

Connecting PlantVisorPRO to Remoto via Web

  1. Connect the computer to the network

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell,Computer management, IP address settings, correctly set fields

  2. Obtain a static IP

    • Ask the network administrator for the static IP to be assigned to PlantVisorPRO Locale.

  3. Reboot the computer

    • In PlantVisorPRO Shell, Computer management, click Reboot system.

  4. Identify the system

  5. (optional) Enable FTP access for assistance

    • In System pages, System start the FTP server (see chapter System status).

  6. Check the connection

    • From RemotePRO, add new site data and make sure the connection is made.
